This new engine is the result of listening to leading equipment manufacturers, contractors and owners of rental stores who talked about operating power equipment under the most challenging conditions. The engine has an overhead valve design that allows the engine or run cooler and cleaner by delivering more power along with improved fuel economy and longer engine life. In addition, the engine has a forged crankshaft that is supported by dual heat-treated ball bearings to minimize friction and heat build-up. The motorsports inspired connection rod and oil dipper design efficiently improves oil flow throughout the engine and assures maximum protection of internal components. The high-mounted canister-style air cleaner has 22% more filter area than the competition with an innovative triple seal design that dramatically decreases dirt, dust and debris intake. A large sediment filter is used to collect sediment from the fuel and is drained using a convenient tool-free valve.
